Desi Burris is an engaging and exciting teacher who is passionate about students. She has been teaching since 2014 and has been teaching in Payson since 2015 where she has held a variety of roles including volleyball coach, Stugo advisor, Yearbook advisor, high school English teacher, and middle school English teacher. Ms. Burris is passionate about literature; she believes that English is autodidactic (self-teaching) and that if students develop a passion for reading they will advance far in this world. Her favorite type of reading is suspense novels. Ms. Burris is also passionate about photography and enjoys taking photos of her children and families. She believes that life goes all too fast, and photography (and photographs) can facilitate the slowing down and enjoying of life.
