Michel Marinelli

Michell Marinelli
Term of Office: 2021-2024

Michell was born and raised in Payson AZ. She is married with four wonderful children and loves to spend time with family and friends. She enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, etc. Michell has a passion for helping others. She has served on other committees, a Girl Scout leader, President of Frybread for Families- a non-profit organization, currently serves on the Payson Little League Board. She is in her second term for the School Board. She would like to see our students get a good education and get the tools they need to become good citizens of the community. She is looking forward to helping PUSD move in a good and positive direction.


Joanne Conlin

Joanne was born in the Chicago area and moved to Phoenix in the early 70’s.  Her career experience is in human resources, finance, and construction. Joanne and her husband made Payson their forever home in 2003. She has been involved with PUSD since they arrived with School Beautification, Site Council, the School Bond initiative, and the School Overrides. She is proud to be a Board member and is committed to making PUSD a wonderful, safe place for all our children and staff to thrive, and to give all our children the tools they need for a successful future.


Barb Underwood

Term of Office: 2008-2024

Barbara has called Payson her home since 1977. She married Patrick, her childhood sweetheart, in 1974, and they were blessed with two daughters.  The loves of their lives are their seven grandchildren with a great-grandchild arriving in June. Patrick and Barbara have been self-employed business owners since 1977. With a "servant's heart" Barbara has served her community and considers herself a full-time volunteer. She wants to continue to make PUSD a district that everyone is proud to be a part of!


Jolyn Schinstock

Jolynn is happily married and has five wonderful children of which three are currently enrolled in the Payson School District and two are college graduates. In 2008 the family relocated to Payson from Sierra Vista, AZ. With a servant's heart, Jolynn has faithfully served our community for over a decade. She’s a dedicated volunteer with Payson schools, coached over 30 teams for the Parks and Recreation Youth Program, served as Co-President of the Julia Randall Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, served as Vice-President of the Payson Unified School District Governing Board and currently serves on the Payson Town Council. Jolynn is passionate about education and believes the success of all students, teachers, support staff and leadership is the highest priority. This is accomplished by helping children find their niche in the school system and providing a framework where staff and students can excel. Audrey Hogue

Audrey Hogue

Audrey has lived in Payson for almost seven years. She is married with four children, three who are PUSD10 students. She works full-time as a Realtor in the Rim Country.  She is honored to serve as a PUSD10 board member. 









Governing Board Links

The Payson Unified Schools Governing Board is scheduled to meet monthly, please refer to our calendar for upcoming dates. Meetings are held in the District Office Board Room at 902 W. Main Street.

Members of the Governing Board may not discuss items that are not on the agenda. Therefore, action taken as a result of public comment, for items not on the agenda, will be limited to directing staff to study the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The Governing Board asks that members of the public maintain a respectful tone and refrain from personal attacks upon Governing Board members, employees of the District, or other person(s) in attendance or absent. Per Board policy, presenters are cautioned that statements or representations concerning others that convey an unjustly unfavorable impression may subject the presenter to civil action for defamation. By state statute, Board members may respond to criticism. A three (3)-minute limit for each member of the public will be observed.

Agendas are posted on the bulletin board on the exterior of the building a minimum of 24 hours in advance of each meeting and as a link on this page. Regular and Special Board meetings are open to the public. The Board may go into Executive Session during any meeting. Due to the nature of the agenda items discussed in the Executive Session, this part of the meeting is not open to the public. Those wishing to address the Governing Board at a meeting must complete a request for a "Public Participation at Board Meeting" form, available above or in the Board Room prior to all regular Board meetings. Due to state open meeting laws, Governing Board members may not respond to items that are not already on the agenda.
